At Fellowship Church, we believe strongly in church membership. We believe that church membership is both biblical and for the good for every Christian. The local church is Jesus' discipleship program, and joining ourselves to the local church is vital for our spiritual health, discipleship, and obedience. If you're ready to pursue membership with us, you're in the right place. This page will walk you through the process and what to expect. And if Fellowship isn't the right church for you, please let us know. We have great relationships with other gospel-proclaiming and faithful assemblies in our area and would be happy to help you find a church home.
Join
Becoming a church member says some essential (and glorious) things like: I am a Christian, I intend to live like it, I join myself to this body of believers, and I will promote and guard the unity and purity of this church and her gospel. Therefore, we have a process for those who seek to join us in membership. The membership process consists of the following steps:
- Review our church website, member covenant, and church constitution for information about Fellowship's distinctives and beliefs.
- Attend a Discover Fellowship Class. These classes are offered every other month, and details may be found on our events page. At this class, you will have an opportunity to meet pastors and staff and learn more about Fellowship Church.
- Fill out our membership application.
- Interview with an elder of the church.
- Sign our member covenant.
Parents of children seeking membership: We recommend reading this page and supporting documents together with your child in an age-appropriate way for them, at your discretion. As with all baptized believers, we encourage baptized children to pursue membership in their local church for discipleship and accountability in the LORD. Children who are admitted into membership at Fellowship Church enjoy all privileges of a congregational member, such as the care of the elders, spiritual discipleship, and church discipline. They are exempt from certain responsibilities (such as tithing), and church voting is limited to those who are at least 18 years old. You may ask your interviewing church leader if you have further questions.
